美しい郊外を楽しもう！
奥千葉とは、千葉市および隣接する郊外を指します。下の版画『奥千葉のランドマーク』に描かれた地域が含まれます。幹線道路を避け、車の少ないバックロード（田舎道、農道、林間の道など）を行きます。
Oku Chiba
Enjoy the fascinating countryside!
"Oku Chiba" means the greater Chiba City and neighboring areas, where exist such places as shown in the wood-print below. The routes are designed to go via bicycle-friendly backroads, avoiding busy traffic.
八鶴湖 Lake Hakkaku
船橋から東へ一直線に延びる古道である御成街道は東金の八鶴湖に至る。御成街道は徳川家康が鷹狩をするために建設された約37㎞の道。千葉市若葉区に残る一里塚の跡、３軒続いてある長屋門、御殿町の御茶屋御殿跡に、古の街道の風情を感じる。
Onarikaido, an old road, runs from Funabashi to Hakkakuko lake, Togane, for about 37km. You would feel the old days when you see milestones, nagayamon gates, Ochaya Palace site among others in Wakaba Ward.
印旛沼 Inbanuma
千葉市の東端を南から北に向かって流れる鹿島川は、四街道、佐倉を通って、印旛沼に注ぐ。オランダ風車のある佐倉ふるさと広場は、春のチューリップ・夏のひまわり・秋のコスモスが楽しめる。
Kashima river runs east of Chiba City, from South to North, via Yotsukaido City, poring into Inbanuma marsh, Sakura City. Sakura Furusato Plaza with Dutch Windmill is a popular destination of cyclists, where tulips in Spring, sunflowers in Summer, and cosmos in Autumn, are very nice to see.
